As their slogan suggests, when you see Padron on the label, you know it stands for quality and family tradition. Jose Orlando Padron’s family has a long history of growing tobacco. In the 1950s, he transitioned from farming to working in a copper mine. After the mine closed, he served in the army but chose not to accept a government job. He then traveled to Spain for a few months before arriving in the USA on the Steamship Covadonga. He started in New York and later moved to Miami.
